“SECURITY GUARDS”

Location:

Fort McMurray, Alberta

Terms of Employment:

Permanent, Full Time, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening, camp accomodations, AB compressed work week schedule, 12 hour shifts, 14 days working and 14 days off schedule

Salary:

General requirements:

Reading text, Basic Computer Skills, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning, there will be training



Skill Requirements:

· Security Guard License

· Completion of high school

· CPR Certificate Level C

· Standard First Aid

· Speak, Read and Write English

· Bondable,

· Basic security clearance,

· Criminal record check,

· Driving record check(abstract)

· Class 5 Valid driver's license


Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

· Work under pressure,

· Physically demanding,

· Attention to detail,

· Combination of sitting, standing, walking,

· Standing for extended periods

Work Setting:

Private security agency, Factory or plant, Outdoors, Noisy, dusty,cold, damp


Type of Assignments:

Fixed post, Foot patrol, Patrol post, Vehicle patrol, Roving patrol

Your responsibilities will include:

· Enforce regulations of establishments,

· Resolve conflict situations,

· Maintain order,

· Use telecommunications (i.e. two-way radio, cell phone, pager),

· Follow radio and emergency telephone procedures,

· Monitor security television,

· Operate security control room equipment,

· Ensure safety and emergency procedures are followed,

· Control vehicular and pedestrian traffic,

· Respond to alarms, bomb threats and other emergencies,

· Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism,

· Write reports
