| ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR, ACCOUNTING SERVICES The Lethbridge College, Accounting Services requires an individual to organize, control and report on specific accounting functions including: capital assets, equipment inventory, GST, auditing procedures, production of statements and various management reports, control general financial accounting and balance all financial data fed into the Colleague Financials system from various departments across the college as well as all Colleague Financials system maintenance. This position provides assistance and training to users of the financial system across the organization. The incumbent, reporting to the Accounting Manager, will also provide direction and guidance to two continuing staff members. Qualifications: Minimum undergraduate degree in a related field with a minimum of 2 years related experience. Preference will be given to candidates who are enrolled in a recognized accounting certification program such as CMA, CGA or CA. Must have a high level of formal technical accounting knowledge and skills with a competent, efficient working knowledge of accounting cycles and component parts. Broad computer application knowledge, especially in an integrated system environment; familiarity with interpreting and applying GST regulations and rules; excellent organizational, prioritizing and supervisory skills; and strict adherence to confidentiality are a must. Salary: AUPE Class Level 12 Step 1 $3,516.73 per month.
