| HEALTH SCIENCES PLACEMENT SPECIALIST I The School of Health Sciences (SOHSc) Placement Specialist I, a (.75) part-time continuing position in the Centre for Health, Justice, and Human Services that plays an integral role in the placement process. The incumbent will be responsible for extensive data entry and data management of student, faculty, placement, and preceptorship information; maintenance of currency and accuracy of information related to placement sites, contacts, and preceptors; implementation of the affiliation agreement process; as well as supporting the administrative and general office functions of the SOHSc Placement Office. This role supports a three-partner relationship between practice and education in the procurement, administration, and management of work-based experiences. Well developed organizational skills are required, since a significant volume of pre-placement data to be entered and managed occurs simultaneously for a number of programs. As this role involves extensive communication with students, strong interpersonal skills are necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Access), e-mail, and Internet navigation are also required due to a wide range of duties including: advanced features such as merging multiple Microsoft Office applications, creation and modification of complex spreadsheets and charts, application of query and report functions, e-mail communication and electronic storage, Internet usage as an information source, and use of web-based applications. Qualifications: Diploma in Office Administration plus one year experience in a related area is required. Applicants with one year of post-secondary education, one year of experience in a related area, and demonstrated advanced knowledge of Access, Excel, and word processing skills will also be considered. Salary: AUPE Class Level 8 Step 1 $2,707.78 per month.
