Senior Civil Engineering Technologist

Our client, a multi-disciplinary consulting firm that provides a wide range of engineering, geomatics, planning, and project management services throughout Western Canada, is currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineering Technologist to join our Vancouver team.

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will report to Manager, Municipal/Land Development and will:
 Develop preliminary engineering design concepts;
 Prepare subdivision and municipal civil engineering designs in accordance with municipal standards;
 Liaise with clients, sub-consultants and utilities to coordinate final design elements;
 Coordinate and oversee field surveys for construction layout and as-built pickup;  Prepare and oversee preparation of tender contract documents and engineering reports.

Qualifications:
As the successful candidate you:
 Have 10 plus years relevant experience;
 Have formal post secondary training from a technical program;
 Are proficient in AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop and/or Civil 3D software;
 Have experience with land development and municipal infrastructure projects; including design, construction survey and inspection;
 Have good oral and written communication skills which is complimented with a keen eye for detail;
 Have leadership skills and experience managing and leading engineering staff on multi-disciplinary projects.
