| Contract Sales Manager - Technical Engineering and Metal Fabrication Manufacturer and custom metalworking fabricator requires an experienced and enthusiastic technical salesperson to lead the division into the future as the Contract Sales Manager. Based in South Eastern Saskatchewan but with the ability and willingness to travel frequently throughout Western Canada, the successful candidate will be responsible for growing an assigned customer base and achieving revenue projections through new account development in the oil and gas, petrochemical and mining industries for custom metal fabrication projects. Key Responsibilities for the position include: - sourcing contacts, projects, and opportunities for technical presentations and needs assessment; - reviewing customer specifications and engineering data to provide quotations and support material to realize sales orders; - planning and reporting on travel activity, sales calls, and sales progress; - managing customer needs with internal engineering and manufacturing departments to fulfill order obligations and sales targets; - have the ability to interpret drawings, and present material and labor estimates against prospective customer drawings. - Ability to think outside of the box and see opportunities to create end-user projects that provide value and quality. We require a minimum 5 years sales experience coupled with post-secondary technical/engineering training or relevant background. We will consider a combination of sales and manufacturing experience. The position demands an entrepreneurial spirit and personality along with solid computer skills (MS office software, spreadsheets, AutoCAD), superior communication and presentation skills, and knowledge of metalwork fabrication and machining equipment and processes to be able to take us to the next level.
