| Fitness Program Coordinator (Temp 1 yr) HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a temporary (August 2008 – October 2009) Program Coordinator at our nationally renowned client site in Edmonton, Canada. This full-service facility is complete with a full-line of cardiovascular and strength equipment, group exercise studio, and fitness testing area. This program also provides its members with a complete range of fitness programming including a variety of group exercise classes, personal training, fitness incentive programs and much more. This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to utilize and build upon their current fitness experiences, while working in a progressive and positive work environment. Responsibilities: This position is responsible for daily floor supervision and administration of the fitness center in accordance with HealthFitness protocols. Additional responsibilities include fitness testing, exercise prescription, new member facility and equipment orientations, development and implementation of fitness promotion programs, design and instruction of group exercise classes and daily operational/administrative tasks. Qualifications: Requirements for this position include a bachelor's degree in exercise science or related discipline and First Aid/CPR certifications. Group exercise certification preferred. Personal training certification from CSEP, ACE, NASM, NCSC, ACSM or AFAA required. The successful candidate will also be self-motivated, creative, possess strong interpersonal skills, and is always customer focused. | |
