| Field Service Technician FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIANS - HYDRAULIC SHOVELS AND ELECTRIC DRIVE HAUL TRUCKS The Mining division of Terex Corporation is in the process of building a customer support network in Western Canada for all its’ mining products – O&K hydraulic excavators, Unit Rig electric-drive haul trucks, and the Reedrill line of mine production drills. Terex Mining Canada is looking for qualified Field Service Technicians in the south, central and Fort McMurray regions of Alberta to support their Canadian customers with both reactive (machine-down) and proactive (planned) maintenance packages. The company has openings for site-based and field personnel looking for a challenge in a fast-paced environment, and capable of working with limited supervision. The Field Service Technicians will be responsible for performing proactive daily inspections, concise reporting, and taking a hands-on lead approach in troubleshooting and daily running maintenance repairs as a first step to ensuring the highest possible reliability and availability of the Terex equipment. These positions also include performing and guiding maintenance tasks and component replacements on scheduled repair days and maintenance outages. Emphasis is on safety and quality, with attention to detail, to ensure incident free commissioning and operation of the components, systems and equipment. These positions require an Alberta Trade Certification in Heavy Equipment Mechanics and/or Canadian Interprovincial Red Seal Certificate. A good working knowledge of mechanical components, engines, gearboxes, hydraulic components, tracked undercarriage, steel structures; hydraulic systems including open center, closed center, open loop and closed loop circuits; 24 volt DC electrical systems with troubleshooting abilities using the European / DIN documentation standard; along with component level understanding of electronic diagnostics, program logic controllers and electro hydraulic servo controllers is a definite asset for these hands-on technical positions.
