Parts Counter Clerk

Under the supervision of the Store/Branch Manager or the Assistant Store/Branch Manager, the Counter Clerk is responsible for:

- servicing customers in an efficient manner.

- handling orders and requests for parts or parts information efficiently via phone, electronic and over-the-counter clients.

- specifying and identify parts needed to meet client requirements, so that number of parts returns due to errors is low.

- using parts information resources to accurately identify needed parts.

- effectively communicating features, benefits and warranty policy information to customers.

- preparing customers orders and handle products returns including returning unsold items to stock; requisitioning non-stock or special order parts; following-up on special order items and notifying the client when received; locating out-of-stock parts from other sources and submit an emergency order if necessary.

- assisting the Manager in daily store operations including but not limited to maintaining inventory on display, on shelves and in bins; performing physical inventories; reporting any discrepencies in stock levels; posting all lost sales due to unavailability of parts.

- preparing the distribution of catalogues and the customers price list

The Counter Clerk will upgrade their knowledge of UAP NAPA products and services by training on-the-job and participating in educational and development programs.



Requirements:

Automotive aftermarket/heavy vehicle parts and parts supply background and/or knowledge
High school diploma
2 years of pertinent experience
Computer literate
Valid driver’s license
Previous sales experience a plus
