| Volunteer Resources Coordinator Clubs and Volunteer Resources Coordinator Goal: Oversee Volunteer recruitment for the SA. Work with full time and part time staff to set up volunteer screening and interview opportunities. Create volunteer recognition programming, and provide ongoing support to SA departments with volunteer needs. The Coordinator will be responsible for interviewing, training, and debriefing each volunteer. They will keep track of times worked and timesheets will be submitted by program lead on a monthly basis. The Coordinator will also be responsible for facilitating volunteer meetings and volunteer appreciation events. Will assist clubs with accounting and financial procedures. Oversee clubs' accounts and membership. Provide approval on fundraising and event applications. Support new and returning clubs at City Centre Campus as well as recognition for volunteers and clubs members. Normal office duties include basic office administration and helping students with any concerns they may have. You will work closely with the Director of Student Life, Director of Finance, Events Programmer, other Managers and Student Life Administrators, Service Coordinators and the Vice President Campus Life to implement and plan activities for CCC volunteers. Supporting Area Coordinators: Providing for the volunteer needs of the various program areas Maintaining a constant awareness of the fluctuating volunteer needs of the various program areas. Maintaining continuous communication with the different program areas regarding their volunteer requirements. Implementing the daily operations of the Volunteer Office Responding to all Volunteer Office phone, email, and walk-in inquiries in a timely and professional manner Scheduling and promoting volunteer orientation Confirming all group (event) volunteer schedules Providing referrals to volunteers Responding for requests for volunteer information Collection and maintenance of volunteer documentation Collecting and maintaining volunteer contracts Volunteer Coordinator Job Description: Collecting and maintaining volunteer records Obtaining volunteer time sheets from volunteers (via coordinator)on a monthly basis Collecting and maintaining volunteer-related contact information and statistics Communicating the SA mission and expectations to volunteers Providing groups and individuals with SA tours and orientation Administering club paperwork, including archiving club documents Coordinating club information sessions Liaising with SA staff and executives on club matters Act as a resource for clubs during recruitment drives or event planning Assist students through the process for starting new clubs Work with existing clubs space booking and catering order needs. Position is based at City Centre campus, however you will provide some service to satellite office staff pertaining to club awareness sessions and paperwork. Supports program areas as needed Participates in our holiday programs Participates in Student Life team meetings, planning efforts, and other activities Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Exceptional organizational skills Experience with fundraising activities an asset event planning skills Good written and oral communication skills Demonstrated experience working with volunteers Outstanding customer service ability Superior verbal, written, and presentation skills Detail oriented, ability to multi-task, provide quick responses and highly organized Two year diploma or equivalent experience Computer literacy with proficiency in database systems, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Knowledge and interest in Grant MacEwan College and the Students' Association Please apply by June 12, 2009 to: Rebecca Holland Director of Student Life Room 7-292, City Centre Campus Grant MacEwan College Fax: 780.497.5470 | |
