JOURNEYMAN POWER LINEMAN TECHNICIAN/SERVICEMAN ATCO Electric is a member of the ATCO Group of Companies - one of Canada's premier corporations. In these resource rich areas of the province, electricity is an essential component of industrial development. ATCO Electric currently has permanent full-time openings in various rural locations throughout the North West, North East and South Central areas of Alberta, Canada. Power Line Technician/Serviceman (NORTHERN ALBERTA) These positions are responsible for construction, operation and maintenance of the distribution system, equipment and company facilities. Qualifications: •A valid Journeyman Power Lineman Certificate with willingness to obtain Canadian or Alberta equivalent •Construction, operation and maintenance knowledge and skills. Distribution experience is preferred. •A valid vehicle operator's license for heavy construction equipment. •25 kV rubber glove and hotline work knowledge and experience would be an asset. •Previous on call and troubleshooting experience would be an asset. AND •Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. •Demonstrated initiative and organizational skills in achieving a high degree of personal and team safety and productivity. •Personal computer experience would be an asset (PC, Mainframe, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word).
