| Spa Aesthetician After seven years of award-winning and successful operation, Willow Stream- the Spa at The Fairmont Banff Springs received a 2.3 million dollar facelift in the fall of 2003. This renovation has enabled Willow Stream to stay at the forefront of the spa industry, offering first-class pampering surrounded by majestic mountain beauty. Our environment captures the spirit and ambience of the mountains and reflects the image and elegance of the newly restored Fairmont Banff Springs. Our breathtaking spa is now 38000 square feet and completely refurbished.Our Willow Stream Spa has been rated number two in North America, Number six in the world by Readers of Conde Nast traveler magazine. Key Responsibilities: Perform nail services in a safe, comfortable, and hygienic manner. Perform facials on guests using safe and professional techniques. Perform cosmetic services in a safe, hygienic manner. Maintain an ample inventory of all products necessary to perform all facial, manicure and pedicure services. Prepare kits as required. Maintain a neat and orderly work area consistent with the high standards of the facility. Assist in any and all ways in the beauty salon when not scheduled to perform facial or nail services. This assistance is to include acting as salon receptionist, performing cosmetic services, selling and restocking professional retail skin care and hair care products. Constantly maintain an up to date knowledge of the personal services performed and any revisions in the products or procedures used. Answer all questions related to services performed and products used. Be on time for appointments and thoroughly review appointments after completing each service and shift. The ability to courteously interact and answer all facility related questions with members and guests. Assist in the co-ordination of salon services with other spa programs. Ensure current trends in Aesthetic industry. Serve as catalyst to promote spa services to members and hotel guests. Maintain current professional licenses. Report dysfunctional equipment to Operations Manager. Work with the Senior Aesthetician in the formulation of plans for projects and other areas. Ensure individual is well versed in all aspects of the Spa's operations i.e. Business telephone usage, Guest relations, Spa services (massage, loofah, facial, etc.), Retail sales... Assist in the operations of all spa departments as required: Reception, Boutique, Sales and Marketing. Preferred Knowledge & Experience (The nice to have): -1-2 years experience in the field of aesthetics -Safety Oriented First Aid -CPR - Basic Rescuer Required Qualifications (The non negotiable): ¨Graduate from an accredited school of Aesthetics ¨Minimum 6 months working experience Starting Rate of Pay: $8.80 per hour, plus competitive service charge, commission, and benefits. Employee Benefits: Medical Benefits 100% of prescription reimbursement commences on the first day of the 4th month and Vision Benefits up to $250.00 every two years plus an additional $40.00 per year for eye exam. Dental Benefits commences on the first day of the 13th month up to $1000.00 per year for routine work. RRSP Program commences immediately. Pension Plan commences on the first day of the 6th month. Hotel matches contributions of 3.2% of gross earnings. Transfer opportunities within The Fairmont Banff Springs upon completion of minimum commitment and external transfers within Fairmont, Swissotels, and Raffles pending qualifications after 1 year. Destinations Travel Program and family reduced rates after 3 months of employment at Fairmont, Swissotels, and Raffles. Employee referral program. Up to $350.00 per successful referral that is hired by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts. Discounted golf, ski, fitness, aquatic pass, bike, snowboard and ski rental program. Free employee canoe pass program. Complimentary duty meal in the Staff Cafeteria. Specific Department Perks: Complimentary fitness and aquatic access (depending on availability) Complimentary spa access twice a month (authorized by supervisor) Training Spa treatments (depending on training schedules) Incentive programs – prizes such as spa products or treatments Employee discounts on Massages, Body Treatments, Facials, Nail and Salon Services Family and friends discounts on treatments Grooming Policy: Fairmont Hotels & Resorts is a luxury brand; we have certain expectations in our employee’s grooming and appearance. The guiding principles are conservative and professional. Further details will be discussed thought out the interview process. Staff Housing: Our staff accommodation offers two options. 1) Our Tunnel Annex (Single Housing) has small private rooms with a bathroom shared between two adjacent rooms. There are no cooking facilities or appliances included. Please note that there may be a waiting list depending on demand levels. Unit size approximately 120 sq ft. 2) Our other six buildings are Shared, dorm-style rooms, open concept with a ¾ wall separating the bedroom area. They can accommodate up to three people and include a private bathroom with a stand up shower, a kitchenette with a fridge, stove, sink and cupboard space. Unit size approximately 392 sq ft. Staff housing is available from $10.77 per day for all full time colleagues who are at least 18 years of age. Other opportunities may exist downtown. Telephone and Internet is the responsibility of the occupants.
