Purchasing Manager - Accountant with Manufacturing Experience

If you're an experienced purchasing manager with accounting skills then this is the opportunity for you! Our Client is a growing manufacturing firm, who need a full time Purchasing Manager / Accountant to join their firm in Leduc, Alberta.

Core Duties:

* In the role of Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for the daily purchasing operations for the manufacturing facility
* Plan, organize and direct daily operations
* Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures,
* Oversee the evaluation of the cost and quality of goods or services,
* Authorize the development of specifications for products or services,
* Manage contracts, Review and process claims against suppliers,
* Oversee the preparation of reports
* Advise senior plant management
* Assist in the daily accounting operations on an as needed basis

Required Skills:

* Purchasing Manager Certification or Accounting Designation
* You are a self starter, with strong financial accounting knowledge
* Strong negotiating skills
* Ability to work independently
* Proficiency in Quick Books
* Ability to work within a team environment
