| Manager, Outage Scheduling Manager, Outage Scheduling Full Time Permanent Position Calgary, Alberta, Canada If work/life balance is a goal for you, LP Human Resources has a client with a position for you. As part of their growth strategy they are currently looking for a Manager, Outage Scheduling. The position is for an electrical utility client that offers work/life balance and is constantly growing! The company offers employment in a growing and stable industry, the environment is friendly, fun and exciting! They have a very competitive benefit package. Come and be an integral part of the technical experts responsible for planning and coordinating power system outages. As the Manager, Outage Scheduling you understand the components of an electrical transmission system, how it operates and how the various subsystems work. This includes protection, control, reclosing etc and EMS SCADA systems. If you are a strong supporter of teams, enjoy a challenging work environment and are known for your well-developed technical and leadership abilities this is the perfect position for you. The successful candidate will bring to the table experience in evaluating and mitigating power system operational risks though effective planning and coordination with stakeholders. You will implement and continuously improve process to ensure work is executed efficiently and accurately. As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated an ability to work with internal and external customers to develop a common understanding of operational issues to support the ongoing coordination of outages and procedural improvements. Qualifications: - Post secondary education, preferably with an Engineering Degree, Technical Diploma or equivalent - Several years of experience in real-time power system operations and/or power system engineering - Proven formal or informal leadership experience and skills - Proven problem solver and the proven ability to lead groups involved in fast paced, high pressure environments | |
