| Electrical Designers/Engineers ELECTRICAL DESIGNERS/ENGINEERS Summary: Our client is an Alberta-based High Voltage Electrical Engineering company that specializes in substation engineering. Professional services include project consulting and management, design engineering, and procurement of materials associated with electrical facilities. To support the rapid growth of the company, our client is currently looking for Electrical Designers with up to seven (7) years of experience. The successful candidates will work as part of a technical team to deliver projects for clients in the utility, power generation and oil and gas industries. This is a full-time position located in either Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta. Responsibilities: • Work under the direction of a Senior Designer or Senior Engineer on various aspects of high-voltage substation electrical designs. • Prepare schematic diagrams, logic diagrams, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, cable lists, and material lists to meet specific project requirements. • Follow and apply industry and client standards to specific applications. Qualifications: • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology • Eligible for registration with APEGGA or ASET • Possess strong written and oral communication. • Able to work effectively both independently under minimal supervision and as a member of a team. • Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. • Previous experience with Microstation or AutoCAD would be an asset. • Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in industrial utility, or distribution electrical design Our client offers competitive wages, profit sharing/annual bonus, comprehensive benefits package, Group RSP, and training programs to continuously develop employees. | |
