We seek a field service technician to hit the ground running and work independently. Customer sites are in Edmonton and area, mostly within 20 minutes of our offices. You must have a reliable vehicle with auto insurance. The position is full time and work is during regular business hours with the occasional emergency work at other times. Pay is based on experience plus bonuses for performance. Benefits include cell phone, health benefits package after one year, and mileage for any travel outside of city limits. The position involves significant customer interaction and requires strong organizational, communication, and client relationship skills (fluent English is a requirement).You must be responsible, reliable, punctual, able to think quickly on your feet, take detail notes, and take verbal direction with any task. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Provide quality, hands-on, technology support to clients with a wide range of issues…install and configure hardware and software…perform upgrades, installations, moves, adds, changes and repairs on systems…clean systems infected with spyware and viruses. • Test solutions to ensure that issues are resolved and customer is satisfied with “complete” work. • Troubleshoot, identify, analyze and resolve problems independently…research new problems and solve them on the fly in a time-appropriate manner. • Manage client expectations…maintain good communication with customers to ensure lifelong company relationship. • Schedule and track time appropriately…update time/customer tracking system on a daily basis. | |
