| POWERLINEMAN TECHNICIAN/SERVICEMAN ATCO Electric is a member of the ATCO Group of Companies - one of Canada's premier corporations. We are an Alberta, investor-owned utility delivering electric energy to customers throughout northern and east-central Alberta. In these resource rich areas of the province, electricity is an essential component of industrial development. ATCO Electric currently has permanent full-time openings in various rural locations throughout the North West, North East and South Central areas of Alberta, Canada. Power Line Technician/Serviceman (18 Positions) These positions are responsible for construction, operation and maintenance of the distribution system, equipment and company facilities. Qualifications: •A valid Power Lineman Technician Certificate and/or Interprovincial Red Seal •Distribution, construction, operation and maintenance knowledge and skills •A valid vehicle operator's license (class 5 license with the ability to obtain a valid class 1 or class 3 license •25 kV rubber glove and hotline work knowledge and experience would be an asset •Previous on call and troubleshooting experience would be an asset AND •Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills. •Demonstrated initiative and organizational skills in achieving a high degree of personal and team safety and productivity. •Personal computer experience would be an asset (PC, Mainframe, Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word).
