| Warehouse Operator Level One (or Junior) Metro Supply and Home Centre is a north Edmonton based company that has proudly been servicing western Canada for over 20 years. Metro specializes in apartment maintenance and general home supplies such as plumbing, lighting, hardware, electrical, home building / finishing, appliance parts, and more. Metro caters to contractors and retail customers alike, servicing the community and general public marketplaces. Metro Supply is looking to hire a permanent, full-time junior warehouse operator to add to our dynamic and growing team. The warehouse operator's responsibilities include (but not limited to): - packing orders - tracking shipments (entering packing lists) - Loading and unloading trucks - stocking shelves and organizing warehouse - Inventory control - communicating with customers and suppliers - building showroom displays and products - Light cleaning duties and general building maintenance Applicants should possess the following Qualifications: - Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and be agile - Good computer skills - Dependable and reliable - organized - Self motivated and energetic - Personally suitable - and be in good health Asset Experience (the following are appreciated but not necessarily required) - Basic forklift experience - Alberta Motor Vehicle Operator's License - Previous warehouse experience or grocery experience is directly applicable - Experience with inventory activities Metro Supply offers competitive wages and benefits, including: - RRSP investment matching / contribution program - Health and Dental benefits - Life Insurance Policy - Performance Incentive Programs - Discounts on home supplies - job security Metro Supply appreciates everyone's interest in the position, however, only those applicants successful at gaining an interview will be contacted.
