Derrickhand (drilling rig) Savanna is currently hiring for the role of Derrick hand based out of a number of our field offices in Canada. Join Savanna’s Team and let our successes become yours! This central role involves: - Aiding the driller in overseeing all of the drilling rig processes - Effectively guiding the drill pipe while positioned in the derrick - Effectively preparing circulation equipment prior to drilling - Supervising floor hands and labourers Qualified candidates require: - One to two years experience as a derrick hand - H2S certification - First Aid certification - Class 5 Driver’s license - Rig Tech Level 2 - Fall Protection, Confined Space, and Loader Training - Gas Monitoring, Rig Rescue, and Fire Exit Due to the large volume of resumes we receive, only qualified candidates will be contacted.
