COMPENSATION & BENEFITS SPECIALIST

Human Resources Services is seeking a Compensation & Benefits Specialist with demonstrated competence with regard to compensation, benefits, pension and recognition programs and practices. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the successful candidate will manage and renew existing benefit plans and policies, liaison with benefits consultants, adjudicate difficult claims in accordance with established policies and contracts, and manage renewals, as well as be responsible for the research, design, development and delivery of market based and performance driven compensation reward and recognition strategies.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have a related post secondary education with a minimum of 3-5 years of directly related human resources experience with a focus on compensation and benefits. A CMS (Compensation Management Specialist) and/or CEBS (Certified Employees Benefits Specialist) diploma, in addition to a CHRP (Certified Human Resources Professional) designation is preferred. Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered.

You have demonstrated organizational, administration, and project management skills, and have a keen eye for detail. A thorough understanding of human resources initiatives and business operations, along with an ability to prioritize and effectively communicate internally and with external providers are essential to this position.
