CAN Telematics won the prestigious 2007 Canadian "Gold Award of Excellence" in the innovation category for Mobile Match. Canadian Pacific Police Service, a current client, requested a product to protect the Olympic torches for the 2010 Winter Olympics Torch Relay. The company designed a battery-powered GPS/satellite tracking system which ensured that all the torches were accounted for during the relay. The Canadian Pacific Police Service also uses CAN Telematics' Trakopolis and is outfitting all of its police vehicles with the dual mode(satellite and cellular) service.
